GE SECURITY PIR OUTDOOR MOTION SENSOR
-

Overview
The rugged passive infrared 6187 SharpShooter® detectors work well in harsh environments, including extremely cold temperatures. The unique design of the 6187 sensors enables them to be used in applications ranging from outdoors to indoor industrial plants where they could be exposed to weather, dust, shock, and severe temperatures. The sensor is available as either a hard-wired or wireless device.
Outstanding Features
Each 6187 unit uses a dual-element pyroelectric sensor with jumper-selectable one- or two-zone detection. The 6187 series features a sequence processor that combines bidirectional pulse counting and motion verification. A high-resolution Fresnel lens focuses the infrared energy on the pyroelectric sensor while a separate white light filter blocks stray and reflected light. -
Housed in a cast-metal housing for durability, the 6187 sensors are designed to mount flat on a wall. A separate swivel bracket is available for applications requiring additional flexibility. The back case is symmetrical, allowing conduit entry from bottom, left, or right; top entry is not recommended. The case as well as the mounting screws are gasketed for water resistance.
The sensors handle operating temperatures from -40 to 120°F (-40 to 50°C). -
